I'm confused. Is S.W.A.T. a newsstand publication or a digital publication?
S.W.A.T. has been distributed to newsstands and bookstores worldwide for more than three decades. Today, in addition to our world class newsstand magazine, we offer Back Issues in downloadable electronic format (PDF files). These downloads are offered on our web site After the issue is no longer available on the stands.
In 2011 we began offering a S.W.A.T. Digital Subscriptions and Back Issues for the iPad, iPhone, Droid and other supported devices though Zinio.com. Zinio Subscriptions and Back Issues are are offered at the same price as our print magazine and are identical to the print version. Zinio also offers a free reader for use on your desktop or laptop computer.
Finally, we offer our own digital version, available for reading in your Browser thru our iPaper technology. Just look for this icon on any of the Back Issue pages on our site: From this you may read the entire issue, Free, in your browser window. You can even cut and email specific passages and share custom "catalogues" of specific articles with your friends and colleagues.
So here's the bottom line:
Print subscriptions are available for purchase on our Website
Printed and PDF Back Issues may also be purchased on our Website
Digital Subscriptions and Back Issues for the iPad, iPhone, Android and other devices may be purchased though Zinio.com
Look for the icon on our Back Issues pages to view previous issues in your Browser, for free.
Why do I have to wait 4-6 weeks for my first issue?
A new issue of S.W.A.T. comes out every four weeks. Add to this a two week lead time between the date we close an issue for new Subscriptions and the date that issue is actually received (label runs, printing and mail delays). Therefore, if you subscribe today, depending on where we are in the Production Schedule, your first issue will arrive as early as two weeks and as late as six weeks after your order.
I received a renewal notice. How can I tell when my current subscription expires?
Your expiration date is located on the Mailing Label on the front cover of each mailed issue of S.W.A.T.
In my area, S.W.A.T. can sometimes be tough to find on the stands. Why is that?
Because many chain retailers are either morons or bed wetting liberals. (There, we've said it!) If we show an image of a firearm on the cover (and haven't been on their stands since Truman was President), they go into a dither. However, money talks. If they find they can make money from us, they welcome us with open arms. As a result, S.W.A.T.'s distribution is up 300% in the past year alone...and we're only warming up!
If your local newsstand or bookstore doesn't carry S.W.A.T., politely ask the manager to look into it. You might be surprised at the result. Of course, the sure-fire way to guarantee that you won't miss an issue is to purchase your newsstand copy early or to get a subscription.
I'm a pretty good writer. Think I might get published in S.W.A.T.?

Most articles can be received by email, however, if files are very large they should be submitted to the editor on a compact disc. Any unsolicited articles not accompanied with a self addressed, stamped envelope will not be returned.
