In modern times, firearms have replaced the gladius and assagai, but one thing, which has remained constant, is the need for training. Plain luck notwithstanding, he who is the most skilled with his weapon will prevail. However, even firearms are a small part of the overall picture, as good tactics are also desperately needed to survive.
