Have you ever read an article about a particular piece of gear and asked, "I wonder how that would stack up against similar products?" Whenever possible, S.W.A.T. performs direct comparison testing so you may make an informed choice.
An example of this appears in the latest issue where we take a close look at four different high-intensity flashlights from three different manufacturers designed to be mounted on Glock pistols. From general ergonomics to price, and from light output to what type of lamp and batteries are used, we cover all the bases. The final decision on which is best up is left up to you, based on budget and perceived needs.
With the nefarious "assault weapon" ban now only a bad memory, everyone can once again equip their rifles with collapsible stocks and flash hiders. Numerous phone calls and emails to our offices resulted in the S.W.A.T. Staff obtaining three of the most popular flash hiders and, with the aid of time-lapse photography, was able to come to a conclusion on which is the most effective. Little details such as the overall length of each flash hider and its weight was also included.
For the tactically minded, the March issue features an article on how to avoid "friendly fire" incidents, and a thought provoking article–What's Your Exit Strategy–on how to escape a dangerous situation.
You will find all of this and much, much more in the March issue.
